Mental health care assistant works in hospitals or in the community helping people who suffer from a range of conditions such as anxiety and stress-related illnesses, to more severe problems including personality disorders, eating disorders, and drug and alcohol abuse.
This mental health care assistant training course is designed for people who would like to get basic knowledge to become mental health care assistant or for those who need to know how to deal with this disability while looking after their members of family.
Mental health care assistant training course is conducted over 1 day from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. After theoretical part of the training, it is optional to take voluntary work for 70 hours as a mental health care assistant in a Care/ Nursing Home which can be arranged after a person has received their DBS Disclosure.
