Q. Do I need to pay for the course?

A. Yes. City Gate Training Centre is not Government funded, and therefore all applicants need to arrange funds themselves to cover training cost.

Q. How do I proceed with an instalment payment?

A. In order to register for any of our training program (excluding E-Learning) deposit of £100 required in order to securing your place. The remaining balance need to be cleared before or on the day of the training.

Q. Will I have to pay for DBS?

No. There is no additional charge.

Q. Do I pay less if I receive benefits?

A. No.

Q. Can I apply for training if I live outside United Kingdom?

A. Yes. However, practical work placement and DBS check is applicable for only applicants within United Kingdom.

Q. Can I apply for the training program if I hold a student visa?

A. Yes you can. However, please refer to the Home Office in regards of volunteer work placement working hours.

Q. Will City Gate employ me after completion of training?

A. No. City Gate Training centre is a training provider and therefore not responsible to employ learners after completing training program. However, we do have a list of work agencies, which is created from the references we have completed for our learners. Furthermore, some of the agencies have requested to be added on this list as they do have candidates who finished our training program and were impressed with their knowledge.

 Q. What assistance can I expect from City Gate in regards of employment?

A. After completing any of our training programs you will receive a list of the care agencies, certificate and also you will be able to use our name for your references for up to two years after completing training. We also provide a CV writing and interview skills session if required (please contact office to find out cost and date).

Q.  How easy is to find a job after completing your training?

A. There is no such a thing as easy, when it comes to finding job in general. The aim of this short-term training is to provide you with relevant knowledge and experience, as well as to boost your self-confidence and ability. Courses are not cheep, so you need to be sure that this is what you want and wiling to do.

Q. What qualifications do I need to apply for your courses?

A. You do not need qualification or experience to register for any of our training programs. All courses are designed for both, experienced care assistant and those who has no experience at all.
