1. What qualifications do I need?
You do not need any formal qualifications to be a nursing assistant. We are looking for caring, motivated and enthusiastic people to come and join us. Some of your existing qualifications might give you credits.

2. What training do I need?
All new nursing assistants attend our Nursing Orientation Programme, which ensures you are able to carry out your role safely. You will also receive induction into the areas in which you will be working to ensure you are familiar with its policies, procedures and ways of working.

3. Will I start as a nursing assistant or a health care assistant?
If you are new to this type of work, you will start as a nursing assistant and then will have the opportunity to transfer to the health care assistant NVQ Level 2 salary scales.

4. What areas can I work in?
There are many clinical areas in which you can work as a nursing assistant and health care assistant including diagnostics, medicine (including elderly care), intensive care, neurology, oncology, operating theatres, surgery, women's services (including maternity services) and our outpatient clinics. A few areas do not employ nursing assistants or health care assistants.

5. What hours can I work?
The majority of nursing assistants and health care assistants work shifts: either morning, afternoon and night shifts. Depending on the area in which you are interested in working, we will aim to fit in with your personal commitments and will negotiate with you the hours you prefer to work. Part-time work is often available. We have Work-Life Balance policies to support those needing to work specific hours because of their commitments.

6. What is a health care support work?
Health care assistants, also known as nursing assistants and nursing auxiliaries, help other health care professionals with the day-to-day duties surrounding patient care:
• helping keep patients clean
• helping patients to eat and dress
• toileting
• making beds
• measuring and recording temperature, pulse and respiration
• taking and testing urine samples
• chatting to patients
• supporting patients with mobility problems

7. What is the duration of course?
It is a one day intensive course after attending the course the candidates will be sent for placements to nursing homes, care institutes, or hospitals where they will work for next 2 weeks in order to get experience and references.

8. Why should I become a care worker (healthcare/mental ill support worker)?
If you want to earn a reasonable about of income quickly and interested to become the part of healthcare environment and grow your future in NHS.

9. Do I need a police check?
Healthcare workers in UK must obtain a criminal records bureau (CRB) disclosure and protection of vulnerable adults check before they are allowed by the law to work in healthcare sector. It will be obtained by completing a form that we will give you.

10. What skills and qualities I need to have?
• To be friendly and outgoing, able to relate to people from a wide variety of backgrounds
• Be tactful and sensitive, particularly when helping patients with personal care
• Not be embarrassed or squeamish about personal or unpleasant tasks
• Treat patients with respect
• Be physically strong for lifting and supporting patients
• Be gentle, as many patients will be frail
• Be able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
• Be reliable and patient with a sense of humour.

You should bring with u a photocopy of your current passport and 2 passport size photographs.

There are variable prices for each course which are changing time after time and most of the time we are having some special offers. So alternatively please contact us by phone.

14. How can I pay?
You can pay by installments. But the payment has to be completed before you will be sent for a placement.
