All home-based childcarers, e.g. childminders, nannies, etc. You must be at least 16 years of age

What will you learn?

You will raise your professional skills and the quality of your childcare and learn about the legislation and regulations governing home-based childcare. The award can be undertaken in full, or on a unit-by-unit basis

0 to 16 years

How will you be assessed?

One multiple choice question paper and four assignments

Will there be practical placements during the course?

There is no formal assessment of practical work, however, many of the assignments directly relate to your day-to-day work

How many teaching hours?

132 recommended guided learning hours
