Who is it for?

Experienced teachng assistants and/or those who have a range of responsibilities within the school

What entry qualifications do you need?

You must be at least 16 years of age with GCSE or equivalent at C grade or above

What will you learn?

You will learn about the role of the teaching assistant in the school, how to support pupils with particular learning needs and/or teaching and learning

What age range of children is the qualification about?

Children of any age in reception, primary, secondary or special school

How will you be assessed?

One externally marked assignment and one internally marked assignment

Will there be practical placements during the course?

You should work for at least 120 hours in a school setting

How many teaching hours?

120 recommended guided learning hours
